Hit List and Shit List

You're voting about a new feature or two depending on how you count. Description below.

---

The Hit List will feature people in the fitness industry who has made noteworthy contributions in certain areas. Example: Alan Thrall has excellent tutorials on most compound movements. He's my go-to resource for all form inquiries, and will be the first person on the list.

It's not enough to be a good guy for this list. One must be exceptional in one area, and Alan's tutorials qualify. Fact that he's funny helps.

I will add people to The Hit List as I see fit; there aren't that many who qualify after all.

The Shit List will feature people in the fitness industry who has made noteworthy contributions in the art of bullshitting. To list everyone who excels here would be a full-time job, so that's not the approach I'm taking.

The Shit List will present each entry through a post where offending claims and advices are carefully dismantled through science, not opinion or personal disagreements. The result, an equal measure of education and delight.

I will add to The Shit List when need arises. For example, when troubling ideas and questionable beliefs arise from the latest bullshit du jour, I will root out the source and put them here. Assuming this person has a history of similar transgressions - and they usually do.

I won't cover old and uninteresting shit, because most of you don't fall for that. I'm mainly interested in the new generations of bro-scientists who use a more subtle approach. One that's clearly working based on what I've seen here.

A Shit Lister takes up a weekly slot and will be as extensive as a Q&A at the very least. And yes, I'm well aware that I'm behind schedule, but now that things are winding down on the book front, you can expect me back in full force very soon - with lots of great stuff to make up for lost time. Including but not limited to: material that didn't make it into the book (for reasons not related to quality), and a Shit Lister or two.

Comments

You're right, which is why I'm mixing it up.

Needs to be on FAQ

I’d prefer new features vs. weekly Q&A. They get far too long and Patreon makes them difficult to read through. Also full of repeat questions. Once a month Q&A would be plenty.

Try x 27.

What's the correct way of calculating maintenance for women? Men BW x 30 as a starting point, but can't find the formula for women anymore.
