The only character that did not serve was Scott's dad and that is not surprising lmao I don't actually have a lot to say about this episode aside from the fact that its just a really good one. With the way everything connected, Jennifer getting her revenge, Derek tricking Jennifer into giving Deucalion his eyesight back and making everything she did to get that power pointless, making her waste almost her entire window of opportunity, Allison with the smoke grenade, Lydia sassing Kali about her foot claws, Scott giving zero fucks about being polite to his dad, each scene of the parents and the kids under the Nemeton while its collapsing - up to Stiles telling Scott to bring a ladder, it was like palpable relief and a strange bonding moment. I don't remember if this was the end of 3A or not but you're right that it felt like a finale. Peter always seems to have a plan, he is a manipulative bastard and he is professional level at it. He's an interesting character, and I do mostly like him as a character, but I definitely wouldn't trust that man with anything. His lies have lies. He is an onion of lies. I was never sure why he was so adamant that Derek and Cora left, because on one hand it was like he actually really cared about keeping them safe. But on the other hand he has killed family before and he is literally crazy and power hungry in his own way. I just didn't know how making Derek and Cora leave would benefit him, but after watching this now I wonder if his plan was to get them out of the way. Without them there its just Deucalion and Scott (and Jennifer but she's not the focus, there is nothing he can take from her but her life) and if he kills Scott and takes his alpha power he would probably have a good chance of taking out the demon wolf. But then Derek and Cora came back when they weren't supposed to and it threw everything off. Not sure if that makes any sense typed out, but I thought it so I'm sharing it lol People do rave about 3B the most but season 3 across the board really is the best

2025-08-06 07:03:02 +0000 UTCyes this helps this is pretty much what we thought but Jennifer was throwing us off we couldn't figure out why she waited to long to attack or why she was so adamant on having Derek help her it seemed contradictory to the power she had. Also yea the Derek alpha stuff we felt would be obviously more clear if we were able to see Cora during the ep as well but thank you!

In doing that they gave power to the nemoton that is now going to become a beacon for different dark forces that will come to beacon hills thats what Allison and her dad were getting ready for. It also marked them with darkness that they will feel until the rest of their lives (only the trio). Jenifer took the parents as blackmail and back up plan so she could get the gang distracted and also get in their minds. In her mind she would have won either way if they died or lived. Derek gave up the spark that made him and alpha and gave him all the extra abilities to heal cora but that doesnβt mean she gets the power there are only 2 ways to get them either by killing and alpha or the rare true alpha way.
