Magnus wasn't gonna help her find her mother and that's why she was freaking out. Plus people do die or get hurt because of her. Dot died trying to find her, Simon got kidnapped because people think she's got the cup. Jace, Alec, and Isabelle put themselves in danger because everything relies on her finding this cup.
