Trio Trouble (129-138)

Just a little behind-the-scenes on the thought process for Trio Trouble; I started this as the second growth drive with an emphasis on trying out new things. Tackling clothing simulation was a huge help and taught me a ton, making mistakes and learning so that GBWA would be better. I also tried out speech bubbles (and color ones at that) in this comic. Fast growth (slow at first, almost imperceptible) is also something I'm using this series to learn and how various shots & movements might work out. Sometimes new isn't always better.

I've done a few things here and there that have worked to varying degree. Moving the camera slightly helps make a scene feel like it's ongoing, hiding a lack of movement in limbs and strides, etc. But moving the camera too much (lily eating the apple) can hide just how much growth is present. That said, I tried a rotation again with the other gals, moving the camera less. Seemed to be better. Today's pages have a staircase growth scene, camera immobile while limbs move and the girls grow. Tell me what you think, I'm of the thought it was a nice attempt but didn't achieve the desired effect.

I've mentioned occasionally that I will be doing a new major comic eventually. I think there's something to be said about classic methods being best, and for that series all growth will be done via GIFs, essentially the most enjoyable way of providing the growth content we like without bloating the page number (Trio Trouble attempted to do a compromise, frequent but usually two-page growth spurts. Always happy to hear thoughts on this matter, TT went from a simple project to a quality piece and I'm happy with where it's at, where it's headed, and what it will be when done.
