Harpies are very hostile towards humans. At least through most of the year, but when the month of september comes, their mating season starts.
That's what the old captain told us when we were going to the island on his boat, bragging about how many times he swam there in the past to bust a nut. Makes sense, harpies don't have male counterparts and they need to have offspring somehow to preserve their species after civilization had pushed them out from the European mainland to the small uninhabited islands. Of course we had to make a pledge to keep this location a secret before he took us there, if bad people knew about this, the harpies living there would be in potential danger. The colonies nests are located inside a gorge, which was an ancient quarry, full of unfinished and broken statues, quite an amazing place. We both stripped down on the beach and proceeded on foot with only the basic supplies, the captain would pick us up again in 8h. Ksi was a bit squirmish in the morning about not using any perfumes today, but my researches shown me that harpies react to a humans natural body scent, perfumes kill those and with them on us, we probably would just get recognized as unknown creatures and attacked. Once we found a harpy that took an interest in us I took out my notepad and Ksi got on all threes. Now, I will see if my theory of harpies being bisexual is right.
Flat colored the first ever piece in the CML - Constance's Monster Logs series, as to try out flat colors on art pieces with more complex backgrounds. Still a lot of trial-and-error needs to be done before I'll be fully satisfied with one~
