upcoming plans for patreon, our demo, etc

We'll be switching things up a bit soon....

We've finished the majority of a demo that we'll sharing publicly on itch.io soon (still a couple difficult parts to go and we've been feeling kinda burned out lately, so no estimate on when it'll be done unfortunately even tho we're quite close).

We also want to make playable sections of the game available on here too going forward. They'll be inside looks into unfinished & unpolished sections of the final game VS the demo which will be a chunk of polished content that is separate from any area/cutscenes in the actual game itself.

So far we've had 2 patreon tiers that give the same rewards. Once we do playable segments we want to use the higher tier to give access to those, while the lower tier will still get you other posts.

Tbh Twitter has kinda felt like a huge waste of time with all the effort we put into it and how little we got back (and Instagram way way moreso lol). So we'll be shifting focus away from twitter and towards sharing playable content here. ....We focus mainly on actually making the game despite knowing for "success" it's pretty standard to spend half or more of your time on "promoting" and "marketing" on social media but that's not how we want to live. We don't want to be secretive though so I think giving playable game segments here is a good way to let people connect with the game while actually working on gamedev and not spending our time and energy fighting to get social media points or whatever.

We're hoping that the demo will attract new people to see this Patreon page so we'd like to have something playable up here by that point. But it shouldn't be a long wait between the two, once we get to that point.
