They eventually played me off when I started individually thanking each member of my college improv troupe.

I love your comics 🥰 your life seems pretty frame for frame of my trans experience, I’m just military

A painful concept, but 100% true and beautifully illustrated! ((I knew on some level since kindergarten but fear and self-doubt led to decades of acting too!))

This is 100% relatable. Partially for the content and partially because I own that exact same shirt from torrid. The very definition of called out.

I knew at the age of 8, but I also knew that nobody else could find out. When my conservative and god-fearing parents found my secret stash during a search of my bedroom, they forced me into the closet. There I remained for 50 years. When I came out to my wife of 16 years in November 2021, her comment was "But there were no signs". I worked very hard to make sure there weren't. Exactly a year later, on that date, she surprised me with an engagement ring she had made to match the one I gave her 17 years earlier, and asked me to be her wife.

I feel like I didn't do quite so good a performance cause nobody seemed surprised by my transition

Yes! At a very young age (maybe 5 or 6) I remember being very confused by my deep desire to be one of the girls 'I wish I could be in the girls dancing section for the kids stage show', those kinds of things.
Then from 13 or so onwards knowing intrinsically I was Trans, not having the words we do now, and society making me keep all in that big secret bottle in my head, until recently.
I feel finally home 💖.

Keeping this one in mind for when I see my Dad tomorrow for the first time since I started my transition.

Perfectly captured! Like yes, we are very much aware that you never picked up on it, that was the idea!

Oh wow, I felt that one go right through my heart, direct hit. As always you take the feelings I grew up with and translate them perfectly into the most amazing art. Thank you.

This is too relatable. Looking back I can see some signs, some little things that made sense. I appreciate your comics. I realized a few weeks ago that I was transgender, and my biggest worry was that I was too old. But your comics have helped immensely, because I find them so relatable. Thanks again!
