And of course Alcor would have no love for the Council. He makes a good advisor for Polaris, and someone he can speak to without restraint.

And the counsel still haven't learned their lesson and are trying to do it again. The only difference is that Polaris has someone on his side who can keep him grounded, motivated or a voice of reason if he's pushing himself too hard; which Alcor would have had with his brother if it weren't for the DAMN COUNSEL!!
