I'm very excited to release the video version of Episode 17. This time round I've avoided releasing it in two parts, and just produced it as a single video. I hope this keeps the feeling of a continuous, unbroken story. And this is my first try of the Patreon video function - so I hope it works!
For this episode, I've employed the services of the absolutely incredible CGI studio Faber-Courtial, who have given us a number of stunning 3D recreations of ancient Carthage, to bring that ancient city to life as much as possible.
We're also able to tell the story using TV-quality recreations and re-enactments provided by A+E Networks, and for the story of Hannibal, I've licensed some footage from one of my favourite performances of the tale: the BBC's Hannibal starring the great Alexander Siddig.
It goes without saying that none of this would be possible without the support you guys have continued giving to the show. It makes me so happy to not have to cut corners or save costs when making these, and I hope I've been able to do justice to the epic scope of this story as much as possible. Once again, thank you for all your support, kind messages and comments, and for spreading the word about the show.
