Behind the Scenes December - So why are the monster mommies a thing?

Monster Mommies are a thing because....
1. I believe by the monsters being themselves they help the little be themselves too!
2. Monster mommies are fun characters to do because they are unique!
3. Everyone loves a monster mommy!
4. Sometimes you can feel like a monster for being who you are, but with the monster mommies they turn that negative thinking around into something fun and positive!
Finally!
The monster mommies preach a message of acceptance and being yourself no matter what. Everyone is unique and has their own things that make them special. Sometimes people might feel like they don't fit in with others or feel isolated and alien, that's where the monster mommies come in! Also, monster mommies are just kinda cool as well!

I've always been a fan of mythological creatures (along with a few horror monsters) and so it's always a treat to hear from them.

I love you and your work, but if I had to pick favorites, I'd probably say Cyclops mommy and Alien mommy, probably since they're oddly relatable in some ways

I've always had sort of an obsession with all things horror, so I just love the idea of a monster being a fun and loving mommy! And I feel like I can relate to them on another level, with the identity thing. As a trans girl, the concept of always being true to yourself is such an important part of who I am. And so I just love the way the monster mommies unabashedly be their wonderful, quirky selves. They not only accept themselves, but take pride in their unique identities, which I just love about them 💜
