Submit Your Patreon Questions NOW!

Hey Patrons!

We are going to be doing a LIVE STREAM this Wednesday (October 2nd)! We will announce the exact time soon.

We want to start the video off on the right foot - so we would love for you guys to submit your questions for Clint to answer at the very beginning of the live stream!

So, any burning questions? Please submit them right here on this post in the comments section.

If there are a TON of questions, we will favor the questions with the most likes, as well as those that we think other people will want to know about.

Also, we will be opening fan mail then too, so if you wanted to send Clint a nice note or something - better do it ASAP!

I have a 40 gallon tank I'm looking to fill with a snake. Should I get a woma python, a ball python, spotted python, or other? Looking for a snake I can handle fairly easily, that is a good eater, and somewhat of a display snake (pretty!). (I am fairly experienced in reptile care)

If you could go on an all expense paid herping adventure, where would you go and why?

Cheri LBW

We all know some of your favourite reptiles but what is your favourite animal that is not a reptile and why. Also what made you have such a interest in reptiles vs other animals?

James Heard

What’s the best way to regulate a crested geckos terrarium temperature?

Rait Avastu

In your opinion, what are the 5 most awesome looking reptiles that are not possible to keep as pets?

Aleksander Schultz

I am interested in the differences in Argentine tegus. I recently got a yearling red tegu cbb . Beautiful lizard, interesting regrown tail and very calm although she is still nervous about her new home. Is there any differences in husbandry, intelligence ,temperament etc between the red tegu and black and white.

Betty Morgan

It's a shame that a lot of awesome reptiles you will only find as imports or wild caught (Chinese Water Dragon, Fire Skink, Tokay Gecko, etc.). What are some reasons that make them so difficult to find captive bred?

Ed Estrella

What are your thoughts on tarantulas? As I've progressed in the hobby I've gone from terrified to actually owning a couple of my own. They're pretty cute like a furry goldfish-piranha (Try everything once, even holding tarantulas!)

Denise Whitney

Do you have any advice regarding caring for elderly/geriatric reptiles?

Liz Movius-Held

Gday Clint, a video something like “5 pieces of advice for a young person wanting a career with exotic animals” would be a great idea!

Wicked Wildlife

Do you have a favorite Colubrid snake, and if so, why?

Julie Bjurling

Does Clint prefer Bio-Active tanks over traditional setups? Can we see some of Clint's enclosures?

JevaStang

From your experience/knowledge, how risky is the process of shipping reptiles? Any tips on how to minimize risk as someone shipping a reptile and what to look for as someone receiving a shipped reptile (not just health but quality of packaging, etc)? The animals I'm looking into aren't necessarily bred much around here and I'd like some idea of what I'm in for.

What's the best way for a reptile lover to convince a reluctant SO that a reptile can be a good pet?

Pilar Heslin

What do you think about dwarf versions of big pythons and boas as pets?? Dwarf versions of big reptiles in general... Are there many that you would recommend as pets? Are they consistent in "dwarfism" or consistently available for a regular pet owner? Do they tend to have associated health issues?

Pilar Heslin

First question: My wife and I are working on converting some of our existing setups to bioactive and we noticed that there isn’t a whole lot of reliable information out there, that we could find (and we are both research librarians!). Would you be willing to compile some information about bioactive habitats for different regions/climates/species? This could make high quality information on this subject more accessible to folks who don’t always know where to look. Second question: Do you have any advice for moving across the country with many reptiles? We plan to move within the next six months and the idea of moving our eleven reptiles (and the dog) is very daunting!

Liz Movius-Held

What's keeping you from getting an ackie monitor? :p Also, there's usually debates regarding the use of clay in substrates (excavator clay generally), with many saying that clay will stick to reptile's toes causing them to fall off, is there a difference between excavator clay and standard clay found in low-grade topsoil?

Carl Ugri

Any upcoming videos for handling lizards? There's a video for snakes recently. I think the same format could be useful plus: - Hand placement - Special considerations for "death rolls" (tegus, legless lizards, etc) and avoiding restraining/injuring them - Being aware of the length of long necked monitors that can still reach pretty far for a nip - Handling small or young lizards. Handling a tiny tegu is nothing like handling an adult (plus that tail break risk!)

Asura

You've only been snake bit-ten a hand full of times but what about lizard bites?

Asura

How big was Gusgus when you got him?

Asura

Sure. I have asked repeatedly WHEN are you going to cover AFT's?? ..You have been stuck in snake mode long enough..seriously..time to remember there are TONS of other reptiles just dying to get a shot at your fingers....and you promised..so...thanks..! Shannon

Any opinions on red-headed agamas?
