2020-03-21 14:29:27 +0000 UTCEven a spiders can dry bite. There are instances where they have been selected upon to bite and inject, and instances where they have been selected upon only to bite. There is no reason to conclude that they have a great understanding of why they are injecting or not. The reality is that most of the things that we do as humans, like breathing for example, we have done for most of our existence without really understanding why we do it.

2020-03-21 14:13:33 +0000 UTCAre you sure you can say that they probably don't know they have venom? Since they can decide whether or not to inject venom during a bite, that control implies they do have some idea they have venom(within the possible limits of their mental capacity of course).
