This Week! (Live Stream, Patron Qs, Ideas)

Hi Patrons,
A few things we wanted to say to you guys:
- First off, look how cute that GIF is?!? I (Jason) love GIFs, and I randomly found that in the interwebs - I just love it.
- We love you guys so much. Please please please stay safe during these trying times.
- We are doing another live stream this week! They are so much fun - the whole team gets a kick out of it. Last week we neglected to ask our Patrons to submit questions (you can blame Jason, sorry). We are rectifying that right now! Please ask your questions in the comment section of this post. If you like a particular question, please like it. We will favor the questions with the most likes and the ones we think other people will want to hear.
- We are thinking of new ways to show our love to you all, our Patrons. We would love to hear your thoughts. Got any ideas?
Thank you for your continued support!
Another question Clint. I'm an "essential worker" and I'm stuck working with the public and it's pretty scary. My "hangout" room is my only sanctuary. I currently have a Terrazzo Corn and a female BI named Rosie. I got her because of your videos on boas and I just love her so much. My next question is... How do you decide what reptile to get next? I have so many dream snakes - Brazilian Rainbow Boas, a Hognose, a Carpet, a GTP... How do you decide?? Or should I just get them all? haha

Clint any opinion on the bush for 4x2x2ft enclosures as the minimum for blue tongue skinks?

Rachel O'Leary's channel has a ton of great aquarium information. She can take you from beginner though fairly advanced all by herself.

Hello Clint! I'm looking for an active display reptile for my office. Something pretty that I can look at all day while I'm stuck working. I don't really care about handling (I have other animals for that). I really just want something that's fun to watch and pretty easy to care for. Any suggestions?

Hello Clint! Though my question does not only pertain to reptiles, how come you find aquarium care to be much more of a challenge compared to a regular enclosure? In the few episodes where they are mentioned, you usually dock a pet for having one yet I find it to have similar maintenance to a regular enclosure. One consistent theme I hear is about the cycle, but that is more so just waiting for your enclosure to be set up rather than a constant issue. For the most part, care for an aquarium just requires a 20% water change every week or two and that can be done in a 15 minute session. Anyways, I always enjoy your content and I hope to be able to tune in to the livestream.

Hey Clint! How do I know when a snake is done being handled and ready to go home? What does it mean if a snake is breathing hard when they're being handled? What are some behavioral indicators that a snake may be coming down with an illness?

Howdy Clint! I have a friendly and lovely Cuban False Chameleon, largely because of you! Yay! However, he used to hide a lot, and it was a fun hobby to try to find him, as he blends in so well with his surroundings. Now, he just sits by the front glass, looking out. He seems to have enough water, and he seems to be well fed. Is there I problem I need to worry about after 3-4 weeks of this?

How big is a standard quarantine tank and how long do you keep a reptile quarantined prior to moving to their permanent home?

Yay! We love seeing you! I have an Argentine black and white Tegu, saved from euthanasia in Florida, but that does mean that it is wild caught. We have had no problem with parasites, and it eats like a garbage compactor, but I have two questions. First, how do you sex an Argentine Tegu, and since it is wild caught, are there any tips you might have for adjusting it to touch? Naughty has been with us for about four months.
He/she is old enough to have list the green, but still pretty young. I waited a month to do more than just stick my hands in to clean and give good and water, and so far, every time I take Naughty out, he/she loses bowel control and I wind up giving him/her a soak. The soak seems to relax him/her, and Naughty calls asleep on me afterward, but still loses bowel control the next time I take him/her out. I am not sure how to approach this in a less stressful manner for Naughty.

I was wondering if you could talk a little about the process of "taming" larger or more skittish lizards? On the not necessarily large but definitely skittish side, I just got a jeweled lacerta last month and I love him! But he is terrified of me and runs away if I so much as walk into the room.

1) This may be a bit dumb but what exactly does the San Diego Zoo Diet consist of? (2) Would you talk about other iguanas that you would recommend? (3) How do you clean a bioactive enclosure? (4) I LOVE your educational videos on genetics, would love to see more general education such as how these reptiles exist in nauture

What do you find is the best way to monitor and manage humidity and temperature in a reptile enclosure? Any recommendations for automated solutions?
What kinds of objects (if any) would you suggest for reptiles for stimulation in their enclosures?
Thank you all for everything you're doing, I love it!!!

Have you ever kept, or would you ever consider doing a video on Lampropeltis triangulum gaigeae, the black milksnake? Their large size, ontogenetic color changes, and modest temperature requirement absolutely fascinate me!

What is your favorite pet skink (blue tongue skink, pink tongue skink, crocodile skink etc.) Also how are you staying on top of the reptile food like insects, leafy greens and fruit.

My daughter Lilly has a Ball Python named Cinamon. It will only eat live rats. How do we transition it to frozen thawed? Any suggestions?

Now that you guys have your own facility, will there be room for a caiman lizard some day? Keep up the great work!

1) that gif is adorable!
2) yay, more live streams!
3) Clint, if you could have any pet be reasonable (or have unlimited space, time and money to dedicate to it) but the pet CAN'T be a reptile, what would it be?
Also shamelessly using this opportunity to once more ask for videos on 1) African fat tailed geckos and 2) spotted pythons and/or other small Australian pythons, because you totally made me fall in love with the children's pythons but I'd really like another video on a similarly adorable snake to watch 30+ times.
I'm probably comment at least one more time because I'm totally forgetting things but for now this is all I can think of

Would you ever consider doing more videos on mammals like the pangolin. Would not be the best pet reptile or probably even mammal but they are still stinkin' rad.
