Early Access Video - False Water Cobra, The Best Pet Snake?

Comments

What are the dimensions of the land and water area for the paludarium? Many of the common small fish species are shoaling fish and very active swimmers, so the neons I saw being suggested are a terrible idea. They're angry disease vectors in that size viv. Boraras or dario dario might be appropriate, but extremely small fish tend to do better with some live or frozen food and that can be obnoxious. Especially if you'll need to soften your water you'll want to watch your KH. Small pools like that are prone to cycle crashes and the tannins can make your KH bottom out. If your pH drops below 6 it will kill your nitrifying bacteria. Ammonia isn't toxic at that pH but eventually you'll have to do a water change. If it's stable enough there are some awesome invertebrates like mexican dwarf crayfish that aren't aggressive, are big enough to film and not too big for the enclosure. Scuds/freshwater amphipods are always fun to add, too. I know there are some small semi aquatic frogs but I don't have personal experience with them. The frogs might eat them but none of the aquatics I've suggested are likely to bother a frog bigger than they are. Delightful video, as always! I can't believe I didn't watch the one video where I could regurgitate 15 years of freshwater fish obsession.
