Hi Clint! I just got a male hognose snake a month ago and he has yet to eat for me. He's about 10 months old. He was eating well for the breeder on unscented frozen thawed. This is my first hognose, so I'm not sure if I'm just offering it to him wrong? He bluff strikes at the mouse but never actually bites it. I leave it over night and he still doesn't eat it. Do you have any tips? Thanks!

Hi Clint I've been thinking about last week's beeping video where you were re educating kids about the proper way to appreciate reptiles and other animals. I was wondering if there were any programs in the U.S. That train underprivileged children in hepticulture with possibility of working in the field as a herptecologist , and if so would you endorse such a program. Also do you know how you would go about starting such a venture? Id love this to be a reality in the uk. Some people just need something to love an some people for what ever reason have lost the it trust of other people. Just wondered what your thoughts were.

Well hi there, Clint! I always appreciate your content for both education and entertainment. When I need a good laugh, I’ll play your video about green iguanas. Your channel introduced me to the Abronia Arboreal Alligator Lizard and, as it turns out, they are the best pet lizard for me! I recently acquired a pair of captive bred babies. I have 1 24” UVB bulb currently. Do you think they would benefit from having another UVB light? And how many feeders do you recommend at a time? They seem to have a voracious appetite but I’m cautious about over-feeding. Thank you and keep up the great work!

Hi Clint! Question: How did a goofy kid from Colorado ever become a Kansas City Chiefs fan? Love the channel, I've been watching since your very first video, and listened to all the Intellectual Hour podcasts; you and Jason are GREAT! Just my opinion, but I think you should swap out Will for Michelle. Evermore has made him soft. Much love from the Pacific Northwest! C. Ryan Shryock

If you could be a lizard, what lizard would you be?

Hi there Clint! :) My question to you is: Do canned/cooked crickets, like Exo Terra's crickets for example, still need to be dusted with calcium and vitamins??

Jacob

I loved your mantis video; would you consider doing a video on the different types of mantids available and the specific care they need?

Hey Clint! What kind of things does a wildlife biologist (or just a normal biologist) do? It’s a subject that I’m passionate about but I am not sure if I want to pursue it

Hello Clint, Got a question about caring for BCI's/BCC's for you. Since I know you love your Boa's and I'm hoping to get one someday. I was watching a video from Dav Kaufman from February 2019 when he visited Ecuador looking for Boa's in their natural habitat. During that video he makes two interesting environmentally related observations for BCI owners. Firstly, he noted the seasonal variation of temperature and humidity linked to the dry and wet seasons. Secondly, he noticed that BCI/BCC was sharing its environmental conditions with as the Brazilian Rainbow Boa. Dave mentioned that in the hobby owners tend to keep these two snakes in different conditions however. Doing some research on the internet for caresheets and advice for these two species I noticed what I think Dave was getting at. BCI/BCC's seem to be kept at slightly higher temperatures (on average a difference of 2-4 degrees on both hot and cold ends of their enclosure) but the major difference was humidity levels. BCI/BCC seem to be recommended humidity levels of 50-75% while Rainbow Boa's are 85-100% humidity. Furthermore, most care guides for Rainbow Boa's recommend daily mistings and a damp hide. My question is this: What are your thoughts on these observations for domestic Boa care? Do you think that it would potentially improve a domestic BCI/BCC quality of life to have its keeper attempt to mimic seasonal temperature and humidity cycles (including periods of Rainbow Boa like humidity levels)? Similar to how keepers (I hope) attempt to add day and night temperature/humidity variations for their pets. Thanks again for sticking with a long winded question.

My town has a great local pet shop and I'm considering getting my first corn snake from them. However, they feed their snakes live rodents and I would much prefer to feed frozen/thawed. Is it possible to transition a snake from live to frozen? If so, what would you recommend to make that a successful process?

Is it ok to feed two pinkies in a meal if a snake still seems hungry after the first one?

My corn snake is still afraid of me even after gently handling her for at least a few minutes every day for two months. She "runs" and hides every time I open the cage. I have made sure every experience with her is positive. She has a good temperature gradient and lots of places to hide and is fed every week. What am I doing wrong?
