Update on the underweight ball python! Rescue found ahe likes her food just placed in her tank and given privacy. We did that and tried a trick i read making sure the mouse is slightly warmer than room temp and she slurped the warmer mouse down instantly!!!

Do you have any recommendations for local Jeweled lacerta breeders? I'm planning on commissioning K&B Customs for a new enclosure for one as soon as I finish making my bioactive ball python enclosures. However, I've been struggling to find a local breeder!

I'm curious if you've come across Golden-tailed Geckos (Strophurus taenicauda). They have a really cool coloration, and apparently, they have a crazy defense mechanism where they shoot some really stinky liquid from the top of their tails (there's several interesting videos of this on youtube). Is this a common defense strategy in the gecko world? And have you come across any available as a pet in the US?

Can you talk about identifying Argentine Tegus, especially any morphs or highbreds? My Tegu was a rescue. She was sold as a red tegu and she has the two scales between her eye and nostril. But she is growing bigger then one would expect a female and she has a lot of black mixed in with her red coloring. She has black on the top of her her head, on her legs and a nice black pattern on her back remisiant of a hatchling that has gotten past green.

In keeping "intermediate" or "advanced" reptiles, do you think that research and planning can be used to supplement experience? I have noticed that some people suggest you do your homework and prepare, while others say that years of experience are required with "beginner" reptiles before considering something more difficult to care for. I can see both sides, and wanted your opinion. Thank you!

I really want a panther chameleon but I've heard they're easy to kill. How do I not kill one?

Hello Clint, Any recommendations for the clean up crew insects in a semi-arid bioactive enclosure? So far I've had mealworms, morio worms and orange isopods mentioned to me as possibilities. I've also hear some good things about blue death feigning beetles. P.s. Awesome to chat with you again yesterday during the one-on-one.

Would you consider making a video about Leopard Tortoises? I’ve had mine since I was 4 and we’ve grown up together and I want to give him the best care possible. Looking forward to our face to face meeting on Monday!

Will you have interns/volunteers at the Reptle room when it opens?? I’m available! 😊 Enjoyed the one on one Monday night! Definitely recommend it for anyone considering it!
