I've learned the hard way we can't keep a fish tank because it's too hot, don't want to learn the hard way on a snake of I don't have to :)

Anna Farmer

Sometimes it does, but we might go 4 or 5 days in a row where the nightime temperature doesn't drop below 85, on and off through the summer :(

Anna Farmer

Mine spends a lot of time when he hasn't eaten in his "cool" hide which is 80 to 83. I would think they need access to an area not above 85. It typically cools down at night, but does your home?

Johnny @BornToEatBacon

Thank you for that info, it's helpful! I know that most recommendations are that the animal has a warm end and a cool end of their enclosure so that they can self regulate their temperatures, what does your Ball Python do? Do you think he/she would be ok if there wasn't anything cooler than outdoor temps available?

Anna Farmer

Hi Clint is it safe for my pets if I decorate the outside and the inside of my exoterra? Are there any safety requirements I need to consider when decorating the outside of an enclosure? I've thoroughly enjoyed yours and Snake discoveries bio-active enclosure builds all over again.

Liz Dyson

Hi Clint. Can you list off some decent exotic pet mammals? I know none of them are truly reasonable compared to their reptile counterparts, but I mean relative to other more or less reasonable mammals

Andrew Pearson

Hey Clint, Do you think that a Solarmeter, or another device to measure UV, is worth the investment? Thanks!

Gerrison Sims

Hi Clint! What are some things I can put in a leopard gecko’s tank for enrichment?

Katie Wuest

Best Harry Potter character? I completely understand not wanting to bring rescue animals around the reptile room, the fosters I get are in a completely different part of the house. Michael should definitely start one though

Reporting in from NE Ohio. I do have AC, but the temperature/humidity probe on my balcony has been very close to the one in my Ball Python tank this summer. In fact the humidity is usually better outdoors than in his tank...

Johnny @BornToEatBacon

I don't know if it is possible, but you did subliminally make this happen. Any chance you can ID my new little 8 legged friend? (NE Ohio) https://twitter.com/BornToEatBacon/status/1286411150733836288

Are you aware if there are any firm numbers regarding the percentage of spider ball pythons that have extreme, life threatening wobble? I have watched yours and others' videos, both pros and cons, but never see anything about the actual numbers. Thanks!

Hi Clint! If you could get any reptile, and not have to worry about husbandry costs and requirements or legal requirements, what reptile would you own? It could be any reptile in the world. Also my 4 yr old son says hi! He's a huge fan of yours. Thank you!

Hi Clint, Interested in prey enrichment and diversity for pet snakes. In the case of species like Hognoses and some of the Antaresia pythons, it seems like providing amphibian options if possible on top of typical captive diet of mammals and/or birds could work. Do you think culinary quality frogs legs could be a valid choice to add as a form of prey enrichment for these snakes in captivity? If a keeper can source them reliably of course.

This question comes from one of my grade 5 students (we survived distance learning by watching your videos as a class over google meet once a week): what's one reptile that you don't think makes a good pet (ie a Savannah monitor) that you wish WAS a better pet to keep?

Stephanie Reesor

What are some non-herps that you think more people should know about or appreciate more?

Benjamin Bramble

Hi! I'm wondering if there is a good beginner snake or lizard that would be ok living in the heat and humidity of an Ohio summer. We don't have air-conditioning, and everything I read about the usual beginner choices talks about low humidity or cooler temperatures than I could provide in the summer!
