On the subject of rat bites, even a minor one is no joke. I lost my boy Bakugou last year (he was about 2.5 years and was very frail coming off a URI with an inoperable tumour). He had fallen out of the cage when I was grabbing their food and ended up passing within a short period of time (I think about 5-10 minutes of falling), but when I picked him up to put him back in the cage (not realising he had been injured) he bit me on the hand and ended up leaving a scar. It wasn't a hard bite, but still did damage. He was my only biter, he had a bad habit of missing food/treats when I was hand feeding them (his brother Deku was a much nicer eater) and getting my finger instead, but the moment he realised it wasn't food he would let go and take the treat nicely. Those would never break the skin, but would still bruise and hurt for a day or so.
