Clint seems to be usually right about most things. However, when talking about the domestication of cats, I would like to point out the Scottish Fold, which has floppy ears. There are also breeds like Munchkin bred to maintain a more juvenile look and Ragdolls which are bred for temperament. I wonder how those fit into the non-domestication of cats. Not that I'm totally opposed to the idea that cats are not domesticated, as they definitely have more of a sense of "free will" than dogs do. I do agree that the selective breeding of cats is more recent than dogs for sure. Also, yes, people were regularly killing cats on purpose throughout history because of, you know, "demons" and whatnot. Google "The Great Cat Massacre" as an example.
