What are your thoughts on overcoming toxicity in the reptile community? For as long as I've been in the reptile community I've noticed so much hostility between keepers. Especially veteran keepers and people just getting into the hobby. How can we successfully advocate for our rights as keepers and educate the public when many keepers can't have a civil conversation about substrate before it divulges in bullying and profanity? Now there are definitely so many amazing and kind people in the community, that I don't let some bad apples ruin it for me. But it does make me worry for how it changes people's perception of reptile keepers as a whole.

I will be doing several live educational reptile shows for day camps in my area this summer. What tips do you have in managing a large number of kids during a show (most are about 30 kids, but biggest group is 80).

What do you think are the factors that make many lay people resist some points of phylogenetic classification, like birds being reptiles? How much a part of this is the use of categorical definitions as prescriptive (e.g. birds are reptiles because dinosaurs–from which aves are descendants–are reptiles) vs. descriptive (e.g. "birds are not reptiles because they don't fit the criteria of what I consider a reptile to be")?
[Omit the following question if necessary]
What steps could be taken when educating the public to overcome this resistance to phylogenetic classification?

What are your thoughts on snake eels? They're like sea snakes/crates except they won't kill you. I have two, a banded (which is a sea snake mimic) and a gold spotted and they're so entertaining, peaceful, and fairly easy for saltwater.

I'm starting to target train my White Throat Monitor, how long do you think this will take? I have a really hard time reading his body language vs my Ackie who is really easy... Also will you ever do a white throat monitor video? I know they are overshadowed by their larger cousins.
