Octopus is both plural and singular. It depends on the word before it. If you say " the octopus" it means all of them. If you say " An octopus" you mean a specific octopus. Keep in mind I am not a teacher and the last time I took an English class was 40 years ago. And I think I failed it. I bet I could con somebody into believing that theory though. LOL

2024-01-18 21:01:34 +0000 UTCWhat makes the most sense to me in regards to Mer-Folk would be similar to that of snakes with hemipenes and cloacas. The vent would be in the front hidden under that "fin skirt" you see in "The Little Mermaid" and that also lets that tiny pelvis to "dump" the baby. Perhaps like a fertilized frog egg allowing a degree of squishibility for a safe delivery. So, in a "creature" made of Human and Fish, why not throw in Reptilian and Amphibian attributes as well?

2022-10-13 10:38:56 +0000 UTCThe stuffed animal cat they had in the hospital ward when I was there as a teenager could give this cat a run for its money. Different kind of creepy though. It looked pretty life like and had motion sensors that would make it turn it's head and meow when you walked by it. It was truly a work of horror that is hard to describe. Kind of like an uncanny valley effect, but a cat.
