Early Access Video - Top 5 Reptiles For Beginners 2025

Hi Patrons, Jason here!

1.   Thank you so much for supporting Clint's Reptiles. You guys are amazing.

2.   As you have early access to these videos, please let us know if you catch any mistakes or export issues. They are bound to happen, and I would love to catch them before they get published for the unforgiving world to spot. You are our first line of defense!

3.   Sometimes we need to schedule the release of a video. When that happens, YouTube forces us to change the video status Unlisted to Private. Unfortunately, that cuts off your access. We try to delay this until Friday night (Mountain time zone), so be sure to utilize your early access before then.

4.   I try to get these Early Access Videos uploaded as early as Monday every week. Trying to maximize the early in Early Access Videos :). That doesn't always happen, but that is my goal.

5.   Comments in Patreon = I will see. Comments in YouTube = Clint will very likely see (and sometimes me too).

6.   You guys rock!

This was a good update to the best reptile for beginners video. Thank you for doing this. I love all your content. I first started watching for dinosaurs and just stayed for everything. I have introduced you to several of my family members. I recently spent hours watching your dinosaur content with my 13-year old grandson. Thank you and just keep doing what you are doing.

I absolutely agree with this. I personally would generally prefer more species before returning to older videos. However, if the video becomes outdated to the point that you feel it no longer gives an accurate representation of the pet, then you should remake the video.

Quinn

Looking forward to the house snake video!

I could be misremembering, but I believe I recall Clint making a similar point in one of the more recent dino-related videos. I’ll post it here if I come across it.

I wouldn’t be so invested in reptiles and phylogenies if it weren’t for Clint… That being said — my two criteria for going back to remake best pet vids would be: 1) if the husbandry has changed, a major care or availability component has evolved (…hehe) 2) if creatively, y’all feel you could represent the species/animal differently given more recent changes in the reptile industry Keep at it, guys!

Love the video, and I think redoing some old videos is a great idea, but I have an off topic question. Have you seen that Jurassic World Rebirth is incorporating fictional mutant dinosaurs? Do they not think dinosaurs are cool enough? Right when I found out I knew I needed to hear your opinion

Yay! Love the video. Although we have blue tongue skinks in our backyard just wild (we're in Australia 🦘). Love that they're featured

I'm really happy to see you continue to make pet videos even though they're way less lucrative. I really enjoy them and they teach me so much. God bless the whole team.
