What I want to know is, does Marvel comics plan on turning MCU Namor into their comic retcon Namor?

I absolutely meant no disrespect in my mention of the situation. You're absolutely right about the Holocaust not being interchangeable with other genocides, and Jewish people being pretty much the founding fathers of American comics as we know them. The reason why I initially said that there were good faith debates/arguments is because I've seen the ones where there has been nothing but respect given. I personally believe that the association should stay with Magneto because of how important the representation is, even after seeing things from the other perspective in past videos and the like. Matt from Nando v. Movies made a really good video regarding how to keep Magneto's Jewish lineage and ties to the Holocaust in tact for the MCU without having to worry about him aging out of it. Not to mention the current X-Men comics currently have a pretty good way to resurrect mutants in place that Marvel Studios can use

So I loved this video on several levels, but I do have to voice one criticism as a Jewish person & grandchild of a Holocaust survivor. In first third of video you say that there’s good faith discussion in fandom about changing magneto’s race in MCU to be more modern but that’s not true. That idea of erasing/changing magneto’s Jewish/holocaust survivor backstory is heavily steeped in antisemitism & attempts at holocaust erasure. Magneto has been an important figure for Jewish representation & discussion of the Holocaust in losses that came from that period for decades. He’s been instrumental in education of the event for Jewish ppl even if he’s not always written well over years, and we need that given how often we are either erased or actively targeted. The ppl pushing this erasure concept are either not showing a willingness to respect Jewish rep & our history of marginalization & the depth of horrors & trauma of genocide on surviving members, or are purposefully looking to erase us to press an agenda of eugenics. Myself & other Jewish moots are harassed constantly for just pressing to have our rep maintained. And the concept magneto is too old is ridiculous as he already ages slower cause of his powers, the MCU already has long lasting mutants like Namor whose centuries old. The discussion is tired & irrelevant and even disrespectful of other genocides like Rwanda, cause these events are not interchangeable as they happened to different ppl under different circumstances. Our ppl literally built DC & marvel yet our faith & background are always being contested at best, & erased or portrayed antisemitically (moon knight & Wanda) at worst.
