Portraying a non-white Aquaman added a lot more depth to the character in a way that a traditionally white Aquaman never could’ve done -- especially with Aquaman vs Ocean Master -- and caused lots of people to see how much of a hold Americanization, white victimhood, and even white supremacy had on DC Comics. And I wanna show how.
