Non-Profit Suncatcher Decal Series

Hi fish fries!! I hope you are all doing well 💖💖

As many of you know, my shop has been closed and all orders have been shipped as of last week! I've been super excited to relax and just get to wind down before the shop opens again! But in that time frame I've been working on new designs instead whenever I try to draw something instead of ""relaxing"" 😂

So I do have a LOAD of new designs ready for next year (not too sure if I will release them all at once or queue it out, we will definitely see how much my house can take 😩) but I've been thinking more about what to work on for next year in terms of New Year's Resolutions! My resolution last year was to just get around to working on Umvvelt more and investing more time in growing it and pursuing apparel & patreon in general! I think I was able to achieve that pretty well this year so I wasn't sure what else I wanted to do next year! 

One of my new year's resolutions is to get around to donating more to causes I care about--especially with regards to ocean & animal conservation. With the whole COVID-19 pandemic this year, a lot of non-profit aquariums have been hit extremely hard & as someone who used to volunteer at my local non-profit aquarium I had a pretty good idea of how much they relied on things like donations, ticket sales, and etc to keep the aquarium running. I mentioned in my last post that I purchased most of the items off of the Aquarium of the Pacific's Amazon Wish List last week but I was looking a little more into what I could do in terms of donations and figured I'd work on something that I can do for other aquariums too!

The designs I've made above will be made into suncatcher decals, similar to the Ocean Symposium 5" decal I made and released a while back! The dark background is just to show the contrast with the white ink but will be printed clear with a holographic rainbow finish, just like shown in the second photo example! The idea of the stickers was to draw an animal that represented the non-profit aquariums I chose, along with a small fraction of their original mission statement!

The plan will be to release these on New Year's Day where I'll most likely have these up on my shop only so I can just focus on getting these out without worrying about any of the other items in my shop! That way they're a little easier to pack up and sort the funds for so I can donate before opening my shop for the Valentine's Day release.

Let me know if you can guess the aquarium for each of the decal designs I've done! One of them should be fairly obvious since it's a bias I personally have 😂😂 I'm super excited for these and I hope you guys are too!! Let's start the year doing something good for someone else! 💪💪
