Save the Date: The War on Cars Meetup!

To celebrate summer and the return of some version of normal, we're pleased to announce the first-ever War on Cars in-person meetup! Join the hosts and friends of the podcast on an open street in Brooklyn for drinks, conversation and good times.
When: Saturday, July 10th, 4 PM - 6 PM (but probably later)
Where: Vanderbilt Avenue Open Street, Prospect Heights, Brooklyn
We'll be on the median on Vanderbilt across from the Olde Brooklyn Bagel Shoppe near the intersection of Vanderbilt and Prospect Place. Just bring yourself, friends, kids, pets and maybe a folding chair or blanket to sit on. We'll provide free beer, soft-drinks and snacks. We'll also have t-shirts, stickers and other goodies for sale at a discount.
Mostly, we just want to hang out, have fun and say thanks for all the support you've given us for so long.

P.S. No need to RSVP, but if you can make it and don't mind sending an email to thewaroncars [at] gmail [dot] com that will help us estimate how much to get in terms of beverages and snacks.

P.P.P.S. Hopefully the return of some amount of travel will bring the hosts to other cities. If you're not in Brooklyn, be on the lookout for meetups elsewhere in the coming months.

2021-07-12 04:27:11 +0000 UTCFor folks interested in riding from Manhattan: Manhattan contingent is meeting at the north end of Sara Roosevelt Park on the SE corner of Chrystie St and E Houston, across from the Whole Foods building (not the entrance), near the steps in the park. It's about a 30 minute ride so we'll gather starting at 3:15pm at the meeting point, and we'll depart right at 3:30pm. Join us if you like!
