Lumberjack matches were a version of bare knuckle boxing in Northern Canada and Alaska were lumberjack teams to settle fights they would go topless in all weathers and it would have to end in a Knockout or Mercy and the audience would create a square to stop ever combatants grabbing weapons or running away. It's written about in lots of novels set in the 19th century in particular there was also a version on ships and really any jobs involved teams of working class men to settle things to get the job done and not bare grudges.

2024-10-10 00:48:56 +0000 UTCActually the Melina Stuff pretty light considering what happened to Ashley when doing a show in Iraq and what happened after they let her go I'm like how did MacMahon not get found out earlier, really I'm not a massive fan of Ashley as much like Kelly Kelly she was pretty Botchy and injury prone litrally breaking her leg wrist and biggest out was dislocating her finger doing punches, the most bizarre thing was they put her with Brian Spanky Kendrick and Paul London for matches with MNM, Duce and Domino and most odd William Regal And Dave Taylor all great matches but Ashley wasn't Lita and when she did get involved in matches it was kinda like watching your granny play cricket on a beach on holiday.

2024-09-23 08:30:27 +0000 UTCIWA Japan had Horror Themed wrestlers Leather Face, Super Leather, Leather Face 2, Freddie Kruger And Jason the Terrible but it was literally Jobbers with the funniest who was also in FMW was Dr Lector who had a Slick Mullet and had the Nailz move set and was mostly there to bleed for the Original Shiek or Sabu.

2024-09-23 06:07:50 +0000 UTCKen Kennedy as well as being Injury prone was used as a fill in guy and as well as being away for 7 months with a shoulder injury when he was returning he was going to be Vince McMahons Illegitimate son that went to Hornswoggle eventually and in one of his first matches back he back suplexed Randy Orton on his head and was Released about 1 month later, thought his TNA work was alot better but it might be that at the time WWE was in a position where there was the Cringe of the DX reunion and WWE was in that weird position where it was obsessed with Nostalgia done badly especially the WWECW which was so bad its why i stopped even buying WWE events on DVD even on sale, at some point you should cover Vince McMahon December to Dismember and Vince McMahon ECW champion as the story of ego and how they literally blamed ECW classics for a mess which was due to WWE handling there's a good shoot interview with Francine where she said how weird Vince was too her and how he thought she was something sleazy and basically it's alot like the scandal that brought him down eventually.

2024-09-23 05:55:38 +0000 UTCThe thing I most remember about 2007 was the not very well enforced you could say selective on who you were in the company as some guys were like a balloon losing its air (Chris Masters) and some actually jumped to TNA mainly because of the Un-even policy really this was the year too that I stopped watching WWE television completely as TNA was just so much better with a good women's division and Kurt Angle being totally free as well as the X Division taking all that was great about WCW, ECW and CZWs Cruiser Weight divisions made mainstream with some absolute insane moves Just Google Elix Skipper Frankensteiner off the Cage.
