Morning champs! We've had some issues with the recording that should have gone up today - it's Summerslam 1998, but it's also all up the spout in terms of sound. Our Pete is working his magic and we're hoping to have it with you sometime this afternoon. WHAT A PALARVER, so sorry about that.

But in time-honoured tradition, an emergency calls for an emergency episode. As long-time listeners will know, that means reading out from They Called Him The Count, the 1988 biography of British wrestling legend Count Bartelli which was written by his third wife. But not the bits about wrestling - only the very detailed and dry bits about the small chain of independent petrol stations that he sporadically ran in Crewe from the 1950s until the 1970s.
