Refulgent Ribbon

Weapon (rapier), rare (requires attunement by a creature proficient in Performance or Acrobatics)

This sword was created by the renowned illusionist Epona Archippos for her troupe’s performances. Inspired by a traditional tool used by dancers from one of the Azalia tribes, the original enchantment was designed to produce a ribbon of light as the wand was waved. The ribbon's color shifted with the angle of the swing, allowing the dancer to create a mesmerizing trail of multicolored light that flowed with their movements. Epona enhanced this effect by adding intricate patterns to the ribbon, making it even more extravagant. In doing so, she inadvertently crafted a weapon that, when wielded by a skilled performer, became surprisingly effective in combat.

You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. When you make a Performance check using the Refulgent Ribbon, you can add your Dexterity modifier to the check in addition to your Charisma modifier.

Dazzling Pirouette. As a bonus action, you can move up to your movement speed without provoking opportunity attacks. If you move adjacent to a creature during this movement, that creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity or Charisma modifier, your choice) or be charmed by you until the end of your next turn. While charmed in this way, the creature has disadvantage on attack rolls as long as you are in its line of sight. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Dexterity modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Silken Riposte. When a creature attacks you, you can use your reaction to add your Charisma modifier to your Armor Class for that attack. If the attack misses, you can immediately make one melee attack against the attacker. After resolving the attack, you can move up to half your movement speed without provoking opportunity attacks as part of the same reaction.
