Shieldtember Day 21 - Verdigris
Armor (shield), very rare (requires attunement by a creature with Strength 15 or higher)

Upon earning the rank of Sentinel, each dwarven gatekeeper that guard the capital city of Vozarina is entrusted with a Warden Wall, a massive and heavy shield made of a solid block of the unique high quality bronze and adamntine mined from their homeland that stands as both a badge of honor and a symbol to their unwavering duty. Forged in the grand forge inside the temple of Ergatris for each individual sentinel, the Warden Wall accompanies its wielder through countless battles, gradually taking on a patina that reflects the years of service and trials endured. This verdigris not only marks the passage of time but also serves as a living record of the Sentinel’s experience and devotion as one can see it reflected on their shield. When a Sentinel’s watch finally ends, their shield becomes the lid of their sarcophagus, standing as both gravestone and legacy—a symbol of the dedication they once offered to the dwarven halls they vowed to defend.

Massive Construction: This shield is incredibly heavy and requires a Strength score of 15 or higher to wield. While equipped, your movement speed is reduced by 10 feet, and creatures that’s no more than two size larger than you attempting to make a contested check against your Strength (Athletics) do so with disadvantage due to the shield’s weight and your braced stance.
Immovable Defense: As a bonus action, you can brace the Warden Wall by planting it into the ground. While braced, your movement speed becomes 0, and you gain half cover. When you assume this stance and at the start of your turn, you can choose one ally within 5 feet of you to also gains this cover. You remain braced until you use a bonus action to lift the shield and regain movement.
Fighting Style - Gatekeeper: When a creature that is no more than two size larger than you attempts to move through your space or an adjacent space, you can use your reaction to block their path. Make a contested Strength (Athletics) check against the creature’s Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check (their choice). On a success, you push the creature 5 feet away and reduce their movement speed to 0. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Strength modifier, regaining all expended uses after a short or long rest. You have advantage on this check while using Immovable Defense.
