OC inbox answer - Hikaru & Dylan's relationship

So Hikaru and Dylan's relationship has been asked about quite often, both via OC inbox and comments- so I wanted to dedicate a more elaborate comic for it and give it it's own post!
In summary, it's... complicated. Hikaru is a miserable vassal to their stage persona, and Dylan embodies their relationship with their career. He manages not only professional matters on Hikaru's behalf, but their personal life too - keeping their daily schedule, keeping their apartment stocked (he has the keys) and making sure they keep a neat public image even off stage. All Hikaru needs to do is perform and be pretty. It's smothering, but familiar.
Dylan is the closest person to Hikaru at the moment, and the only person they can actually keep close. Their relationship is way past the professional boundaries and is definitely not healthy or wholesome - and they're well aware of that - but they're far too accommodated in it to challenge it.
So, the short answer many of you wanted: they totally bone. But it's unfortunately a pretty unhealthy, symbiotic relationship!
As an artist, I like to explore all kinds of relationships and dynamics with my characters that I think would tell an interesting story. So I'm definitely in on illustrating more Dylan and Hikaru if there's interest in it! But I wanted to be fair to readers who might feel uncomfortable with this kind of dynamic in fiction, and make their relationship more clear before I draw more risque scenarios. There's a lot more to unpack, but you get the gist of it from this comic.
That said, I'm pretty happy with how the paneling turned out and might do another post with a breakdown of each page and further notes about them. This turned out a lot more complex than my usual OC ask answers, enough that it deserved its own post - so I'll post the remaining OC ask answers in a separate post soon!

It's right up my alley as I enjoy achey and toxic storylines. I agree that tagging the ship and maybe a CW would help for those that are uncomfortable with it.

Idk maybe cause it’s like a magic that showed his truest desire but yeah it was still brainwashing. Gotta look into myself about this lmao. What makes me uncomfortable with this is… idk dubious power dynamics? Like the vibe I get from Derek (especially as a manager) coupled with Hikaru’s passive, spaced out vibe… that’s kinda the ish, i think, for me. BUT again this is an NSFW blog :))) I can avoid this particular series on my own accord if ever so no pressure either way :D

I don't usually use CWs on my posts as I don't post anything I consider hard k1nk, or that is against Patreon's community guidelines (like n0ncon)- hypnosis stuff like in my demon!Hyatt art is a pretty recurring theme that I assume most of my patrons are fine with, so I don't really put warnings for it. I'll keep gathering interest and will be happy to draw more of them if patrons send more asks or suggest them to the NSFW poll! Thank you for the input! <3

Like with art involving demon!Hyatt brainwashing Zephyr for example? Genuine question since I never really payed attention. If so, then I'd say continue to use them for Dylan/Hikaru art. If not, then I think you're good.
