As a 130 example limited run production car, the Evija was unveiled in July 2019 as the first electric car developed by Lotus. With a price of over US$2,000,000 and the notion that even Lotus couldn't work around the increased weight brought to a car through battery packs, it was quickly established as a world beating hypercar through its showing at the Guangzhou International Motor Show on November 21, 2019.
