💡Ideas for Patreon Exclusive [August 2024]📖

The topic for August's Patreon exclusive is "I'm not feeling well, comfort me and help me feel better."

You can choose:

- Listener is not feeling well, or

- Speaker is not feeling well (reverse comfort)

STEP 1:

Visit "The Vault of Ambience" on YouTube, and select one of their videos for the SETTING of your story. You don't have to watch the video - it's just for choosing a setting.

Exclusions: videos that reference actual books and book characters others have written (e.g. Harry Potter, Pride & Prejudice, LOTR, Jekyll & Hyde)

STEP 2:

Copy-paste the link of the video link you have chosen into your submission. I will be listening to the video you chose while writing this audio.

STEP 3:

Based on the setting you picked, come up with character types for the speaker and listener that might be found in such a place.

STEP 4:

Write a brief plot summary of what is happening in the audio.

Writing prompts (for you to pick and choose, or come up with your own):

- What is the cause of the affliction (sickness, curse, accident, a combination of the above, etc)?

- The speaker character you chose may have certain skills or powers. How might some of these be used in the story?

- Physical objects and medicines as cures, or to provide relief

- Character backgrounds: how they met, their journey so far

- Setting within a setting: e.g., the wider setting: mushroom forest. The smaller setting: mushroom house, top floor, well-lit bedroom filled with fluffy mushroom-fibre blankets.

- Actual lines of dialogue you wish to hear in the audio

- Optional: sound effects and ambient sounds

You can submit up to two sets of ideas. If you do, please label them IDEA 1 and IDEA 2.

Form closes: 11th August, 2024.

I will choose some ideas for the poll. For the sake of fairness, all submissions are anonymous.
