Formula V Demo 7

Here is the latest WIP build of Formula V. And this time, our Super Backers get to enjoy it, too!

Besides the usual performance enhancements and bug fixes, we mainly improved the overall presentation for this demo. Here's a quick overview of new things to look out for:

New finish line animations
Light posts
Camera flashes on the stands
Digital billboards by the track
A tunnel
Race intro information
TV channel logo
New glitchy text-in animations on the menu screens

We probably forgot a few bits, but hope you'll have fun finding it all. :-)

Game modes

As before, the current demo has three modes:

Demo (or "spectator") mode, where you can watch the AI racing against itself. It is accessed through the title screen by not pressing any button for a couple of seconds.
Quick race, which allows you to race against seven AI controlled racers on different classes, at multiple difficulty levels and during four times of the day.
Time trials, where you race against the clock and your ghost (this feature works only on emulators or hardware with flash carts that have SRAM support, like the FlashBoy+).

ROM versions

As before, this demo consists of two ROMs with different functionalities, one will only work on emulators; and the other only on hardware. This was done due to the proliferation of the reproduction cart market, where the work of the Virtual Bow homebrew community is being sold without authorization.

The ROM labeled "(Emulators)" will let you fully enjoy the game, but is locked to work exclusively on emulators (we tested it only on Mednafen). It won't boot up on hardware.

The ROM labeled "(Hardware)" will only let you race against the clock and your own ghost in Time Trials mode. The class is locked to "Formula V", the race will start at day time and time will advance at x30 speed so you can experience the full range of lighting effects. This ROM works only on hardware.
