Added 2022-04-03 23:01:00 +0000 UTCMario Conte is the greatest drummer I've ever seen, hands down. And I'm not just saying that because he's one of my oldest and dearest friends. I've never seen anyone do what he can do. Maybe drummers with an ear for world-class drumming know who to look up on Youtube to prove me wrong, but eh. I've worked with a lot of great drummers, who have all had their strengths and unique touch, so don't take this as me putting anyone else down. There's just no one quite like him. You can hear his stellar work and creativity on The Real, The Normal Album, our old band from the forgotten times AVE, and his band Enox, whom I highly recommend.
His method of writing notes for songs, which he did in a van while on tour with his band, is equally and characteristically unique. He shared his notebook with me to share with you. Here's part two of his surprisingly entertaining method of writing things down.
