The situation with Itch.io

In case you haven't heard, itch.io—the platform where my game and those of many fellow developers were hosted—has “removed” NSFW games.

As you may know, this doesn’t just affect me, but many other developers who make a living by creating games. Right now, itch.io is conducting a “thorough” review of all the games they’ve removed from the platform. This caught all of us by surprise, as there was no prior warning. While this is happening, we’re all left uncertain about what comes next.

Itch.io has been one of the main platforms where I’ve been able to promote my game. Even though my page has been in quarantine since the beginning of the year, that doesn’t mean this won’t affect the future of the game. In any case, this is a critical moment for all of us, so I encourage you to stay connected with any developers you follow to stay up to date and find out what will happen to each project.
