Sonic Forever (2015 Alpha Build)

So just to bring everybody up to speed that may not remember: So two or three years ago I released a demo of this thing I am/was calling "Sonic Forever." The catch: It was an April Fools joke to riff on the original Sonic 2 HD demo, where a member of Sonic Retro burned a bunch of bridges with the community. Upon booting my demo up, you would be met with a screen telling you the demo could not be played. If you knew the secret code you could get the game to boot up, however.

Somebody on Tumblr asked if I still had this file, and rather than release the same old dumb April Fools build with the cheat codes for selecting levels, I made a completely "new" version with a proper level selection and setup menu. Of course, it's not really that new, but I guess the build of Act 3 contains new/different stuff versus the old April Fools version.

As I repeatedly say in the included material, I don’t know if I’ll ever finish it. But here’s a nice and tidy build that anyone can play and probably enjoy for the most part. It constitutes everything I’ve done on the game since 2009, and trust me, it’s not much.
