I’ve been doing some thinking lately about how to manage this Patreon, and I’m considering switching from a per-creation payment model to a monthly payment model at the beginning of 2018.
Mainly I’m hoping to cut down on the amount of declined pledges happening each month, by making it so that you only need to make a single payment at the beginning, as opposed to several throughout the month.
Of course, this does mean I’ll be encouraging my Patrons to increase their pledge amount to match their monthly maximum to make things fair.
For example; if your current pledge amount is $1 per finished post and your monthly maximum is $5 a month, I’d ask that you increase your total pledge amount to $5. You won’t be paying any more than you would on a monthly model (assuming that I’m posting 5 finished pictures per month), and you’ll only have to pay once per month instead of being charged multiple times.
Like I said - I’m still mostly undecided, and no major changes will be happening until at least the new year.
