Pretty sure that human hand in the end was Hans, the one who helped the doctor treat Spongebob when he had the suds. Hans entered his villain arc (arguably) off-screen when he realized how evil the healthcare organization was. And when he saw the most money grubbing krab in bikini bottom, he took "eat the rich" personally. Do not mess with Hans.

Despite the diversity of the main cast, Bikini Bottom has a predominant fish population. There aren't many crabs who live in the area - just like there aren't many sponges, starfish, cephalopods, whales, plankton, or squirrels. There are examples of all of these who live elsewhere, of course, but the main cast is definitely a group of stark minorities within Bikini Bottom. Correlation, in this case, is not enough to suggest causation.

It's not dropped though sicne this is only temperary. There is already another streaming service in talks with picking it up, so once that happens, she'll come back to the series again.
