Just nitpicking and many weeks late at that, but it wasn't just Ashura noticing something was off. Raizo did too. Raizo was the one remembering that Toki can only send forward. And the Samurai could not finish Jack on the roof either way, Kaido stopped it and sent Jack away.

2025-06-27 17:30:26 +0000 UTCWith Asura sacrificing himself, I will say that in the manga, the time between the fake Oden lighting the fuse and Asura grabbing him was much shorter: it pretty much went - in the span of 3 panels - fuse lit, fake Oden and Denjiro clash, Asura tackles fake Oden. Toei once again not doing any favors to the characters by stretching out moments like that. For an "in-universe" explanation, they did all just stand up from getting almost killed by Kaido, they are in no way recovered enough to be moving like they normally would
