My grandmother always says "Judge not lest ye be judged" when I make accusations without enough information! Let Oda cook.

I feel like this is a very unwarranted comment. They are freaking out because they know she dies and the last thing they wanted to see was a celestial dragon killing her. This is exactly the emotion you're supposed to have at this moment and it's a teaching moment not to judge a situation from prior experiences. Let's get one thing straight, if you weren't irritated at this moment, you don't hate the celestial dragons enough. This backstory is supposed to drive anger up to explain the missing gaps that Jimbe and Arlong had to endure and paints a clearer picture for the fishmen to have the hate that they have. Empathetic people tend to have these kind of reactions to devastating news, that's just who they are. I mean if it bothers you so much, you don't have to watch, man. That's all you, you know how they act after this long. I've seen your name a few dozen times. You should know by now what you've signed up for.

Seeing you guys focus so much on the immediate hate and missing the bigger picture here was a bit tough to watch. You’re being way too judgmental about certain things, but you'll eventually be proven wrong (at least I hope so)
Also, just to clarify (not a spoiler): while Otohime has strong observation haki, Shirahoshi’s ability to control Sea Kings isn't haki. The story specifically emphasizes that it is a legendary power from long ago, a mermaid princess capable of commanding them, which only Vander Decken's family knows about except for the royal family
