Welcome to the proper launch of arc 12; I did toy with the notion of retroactively changing 12.1 into an interlude, but I think I'm gonna let it stand as chapter 1, seeing as it does bring us face-to-face with the storm, after all - the 'tempest' of our temporary title. And it would be unfair to shuffle poor Iriko off into an interlude all by herself. She's part of Elpida's crew, too!
In a hilarious accident of fate, this chapter is also the single longest of Necroepilogos so far - almost 8k words! This was not an intentional attempt to 'make up' for last week, but merely a product of how complex things are behind the scenes with this arc. So, a bumper sized chapter, as a treat!
I can't say much more this week without spoilers, but I think this arc is likely to be a long one, perhaps the longest so far - I'm aiming for maybe as much as 15 chapters, depending on how things go. We've got a lot of POV shifts coming up, and much worming down into the dark and forbidden places of the world. Onward we go! Hope you enjoy!

The current outline/plan calls for roughly 15 chapters, yeah! Though I fully expect things to derail in the most spectacular fashion as soon as the zombie girls get their bearings and wrench control of the narrative away from me. Pfffft. Well! I hope it doesn't end up quite that long!

It seems that Kagami is forever cursed to have trouble with those bionic legs. She was never meant to have them in the first place, poor thing. But yes, she's got no shortage of willing transport, be it Hafina or Victoria or perhaps even Elpida.
