Hahahahaaaaa! You thought it was the epilogue?! Think again! Ahem. Well actually no, this is, technically, the epilogue. But also it's a surprise! But kinda not, not after the end of the previous chapter. Right?
But yes! Although we are firmly in the epilogue, narratively speaking, (and this is not arc 25, this is a one-off chapter, I swear it), we're not yet in the epilogue ... 'metatextually' speaking. This chapter exists in addition to the two planned epilogue chapters. Or maybe the three planned epilogue chapters, I'm genuinely not sure if it's going to be two or three until they actually unfold upon the page, and we all know how that tends to go.
I do, however, have a little note about the upcoming schedule; next week is the regular break week, and the next Katalepsis chapter (E.1, the first epilogue chapter) is due to go up on the 28th of December. However, I've got some pretty major external commitments that week, because of Christmas and family matters, and I don't want to risk rushing out the first chapter of the epilogue, that would be a terrible shame to make a misstep at this stage. So I'm going to do something I've not done before - I'm going say the 28th December chapter is a maybe. There probably will not be a chapter going up, but there might! I'll try my best! But I won't sacrifice quality, of course. Regardless of when it's up, the epilogue is about to commence, for 2-3 more chapters! And I will see you then!

Amusingly enough this does throw a spanner into the predictions for the length of arc 24 - does this count as chapter 39, or is this something truly separate? I expect a schism over this detail. Which I could further complicate by writing chapter 40 ahahahahaaaa. Ahem.
