A painting for Yjay of FA! Rule number one of adventure: You're bound to find something magical or valuable in the floating ruins of a civilization. (Sure, Ethyriel could just fly over there directly, but that's not much of an adventure, then, is it?)
Another big thank you to Yjay for being so patient. I saved what sounded like the best piece of the last commission opening for last, and it was every bit as fun as I had hoped it would be. Lots of clouds, a dragon, fantasy bits, floating rocks and ruins... Discovered a few new brushes in the toolset of Painter 2020 that I love, as well, so definitely going to be pushing them to see what they can do.
I've gotten a few emails and notes about commissions. Right now, my plan is to do a few side projects after the last sketch of my queue is complete -- stuff for friends that I didn't want to place before anyone new or returning so far! My goal is to try for end of February, or early March, and a VERY limited number of slots. I think my tendency to be bad at saying no is part of why my turnaround is sometimes slow, and I want to try fixing that.

I stumbled a bit with this one, admittedly, to you all here on Patreon! It was super fun, and I'm super proud of the results as I said in the public description, but wow if it didn't test me a bit! Lots of back and forth internally on what my colors are, if my lighting was too crazy, or if I wasn't smoothing things enough or too much! I feel like that means I'm on the verge of figuring things out a little more efficiently, especially with some of the oil-like brushes I played with in Painter that I mentioned. Makes getting that right smoothness just right BUT it slows me down a smidge. Need to find if there's a setting to tweak that can help with that.
Anyways, I'll stop rambling and let you guys enjoy. Thank you so much for your support. <3
