A character piece for FuramiT of FA! Exploring old ruins can teach you a lot. History, for Flammie, and a painful lesson for the dangers lurking within them.
Man, I don't have a lot to say here on this one. Sometimes a prompt just clicks real good. c: I think this is my new favorite character piece I've done -- I feel like this one's a step above a lot of the others.
Big thanks to Flammie for letting me work with him again!! A pleasure, as always. Enjoy, guys.

This was another one that got caught a bit awkwardly -- was supposed to be started before I had to run home for a bit. Like, literally emailed Flammie to get things rolling, and then the next day, had to jump on a plane, so I was worried at first, thinking I blue-balled him a bit. But I think some time away from the art scene also helped, in a way. While Rimentus showed signs of things to come, it still suffered from being in a mid-point, where as this one was fresh and new upon returning home. I think it shows.
Trying to get story involved, as well as referring to something that is off screen via shadow, is sort of new to me in these single character pieces. I posed the idea in the initial thumbnails, and then put it off for a bit, thinking, "oh god i hyped it up, i dunno if I can actually deliver". I'm very pleased with those little silhouettes, though! Conveniently, they also help hide some of the troubles I was having with the feet and water, so that's a happy little accident there. c: The piece feels just as great without them, but I am glad I pushed myself to try it, because I think they help push this up to another level.
Easily my new favorite character piece I've gotten to do. Involves so much of what I love to do -- magic, flowy cloth, monsters, and not needing to worry about how much something should or shouldn't be saturated! I hope the following pieces can keep some of this energy going. I found a good groove here. I hope it wasn't a fluke!
Thank you all again for your patience. I deeply appreciate it. I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed making it!! Please stay safe out there, especially if you have been to or are planning to attend one of the recent cons. I'll be at Anthrocon, myself, but not sure to what capacity -- I think I'm going to be hiding away in the hotel rooms a lot, to be quite honest with you, because the thought of COVID still has me nervous, even though I'm vaxxed and boosted. Just don't really want to help spread it, you know? Anyways, I know this one's brief, but I do think it speaks for itself, mostly. I will catch you all again soon. Stay safe! Love you all.
