A piece for Espyrian of FA/Twitter! Taking time to appreciate what's around you. I don't have a ton to say on this one. I think it speaks for itself! Always fun to just work with a fun figure, and paint some glowing lights, fancy hair, bits of cloth, a good body, etcetc.. These are always sort of like a nice check-in, since even way, way back years ago, some of my first commissions were colored background, standing figure, holding a bright light. I guess some might say it's almost like a brand, aha.

But I have a lot to do still. Onwards, to the next ones -- a big dragon, and some big gnolls! Thank you to Espyrian for letting me work with you, and for trusting me with your absolutely gorgeous character. <3

So much to doooo. I am so, so behind.

It's been a little bit of a struggle to keep the ball rolling. I have a habit of starting to get nervous near the end of every piece and it causes me to procrastinate, not wanting to finish it out of fear of the next piece. That happened here again -- could have been done a few days sooner, but I definitely let it sit. It's something I've kind of always done, even back in high school with things like essays, and I've never really been able to pinpoint it until now.

I'm not sure why I do it. I am sure it could be easily waved away as something like self-confidence. But I'm still not sure how to fight it. Right now, I'm just kind of trying to barrel through it, because uh... I have a LOT to do and bills to pay. I don't have time to sit around and wonder, really!

Waiting to hear from one client, though I'm very excited about it because, well, dragon. But I haven't heard back just yet. So instead, gonna start on a piece that are two chonky gnolls after a bar brawl. It sounds like a tough one, but I think I have an idea or two on how to make it work!

Sorry this one's also short. I've been so focused on work, I haven't been the most talkative or the most... Type-ative? Is that a word? I guess it is now. I gotta go do some thumbnails, get the next thing rolling. The work never ends!
