Orbital Strength

Been a while since I got to work with pencil on paper. I miss it. Draco  covered a meal at Condado's for me and Goolashe, so in return, I drew  him the following evening. c: Had a few nice references I had been  looking for a reason to use, so mushed them together into a nice little  pose and went at it. I'm pretty happy with the result, as well as the  abstractness of the hair.

Home from AC 2023! Unpacking at the moment, and catching up on some laundry, emails, messages, videos, all sorts of stuff. Should be good to dig back into work starting tomorrow. c: It was a good time! Saw a lot of good friends, went to Hershey Park for a day with a small group, ate a lot of good food, found a few new artists to follow. I'm left a little bummed for what I haven't yet really achieved, but overall, I'd say it was a good time, and very much what I needed.

It also has me sort of... Feeling more confident in my decision about not caring as much about what I'm making, whether it comes across as sexual or not. There were so many obviously sexually-intended images just hanging out in the artist den, despite the censorship overlaid on them, yet no one batted an eye. Meanwhile, my feed has been filled with similar imagery for... Years, really, and the people making it are successful, and happy doing so. Which really just stresses how much I've been overthinking about what I'm making, how it comes across, etc.. Wanting to draw a large dragon man, and yes, even detailing his junk in the underwear? who cares it made me happy thats all the justification I need.

Not to say "oh wow this is my 18+ artist era", as I'm still very much interested in general high-fantasy and big, grand environments and such. But hey. I feel more justified not having to hide some things as much anymore. I will try to get things together to get a table at Anthrocon next year. At least a small one, maybe over in the smaller artist section, since I don't have a lot of merch right now.

Anyways, all Patrons have access to the full size of this one! I figure it's only fair, since last month was a bit quiet, and plus, it's traditional, and I don't get to do that a lot. So doesn't feel right to hide it away to specific tiers or anything. Hope you all enjoy. Stay safe out there. I will catch you again soon!!
