Hmm well if Mal has the same power of her mother she would be equal to Hades in power because her mother did wield all of the powers of hell. Still terrible magic scaling.

I agree. I got some serious Daddy's girl vibes and I thought it was beautiful. :)

The magic pecking order in this world is so confusing. It feels like they were coming up with it as they went along.

First because things would get a little awkward. Second, I thought Celia and Facilier relationship was cute too.

Wait, why wasn't "true love's kiss" the FIRST thing the kids thought of when they saw the aging spell?
And I'll be honest, the relationship between Celia and Dr Facilier was genuinely sweet for me, and definitely one of the high points.

Oh my God, I would LOVE to see The Horned King in one of these movies... I mean, can you IMAGINE the possibilities? The potential for epic? (With better writers, of course)

They can't have a serious villain like 'The Horned King'. These movies are the embodiment of a slew of insults from Dr. Evil. "You're semi-evil. You're quasi-evil. You're the Diet Coke of evil. Just one calorie, not evil enough."

I think the same thing. Hell, I occasionally come back to the idea of doing my own take on this idea via fanfic. Of course I would go a lot further than 'Disney Fairytales'. I mean, come on. Peter Pan, Tron, you know go full Kingdom Hearts with it.

Seriously, the child of Taran and Eilonwy, or the spawn of the Horned King, are both things I REALLY wanted from this junk franchise. I mean, Horned King is hands down more evil than Maleficent.

That’s what I thought when I first saw her too! Even though they already established Ariel already had a daughter, Melody and it would have been cool if she was in this movie. But no, instead we got some other girl who is just there.

Maybe the girl in the wheel chair is supposed to be the daughter of Ariel And her leg paralysis is a side effect of Ursula’s spell

Ok how not even the genie could raise the dead or if he could he wouldn’t how does the fairy god mother have more power than a genie or a god since her magic has a time limit

So the beast is either like tony stark in the civil war comic or the king of Atlantis in the search of the titanic not characters you want to emulate

Ok that’s a reason a dumb reason but still reason that being said they couldn’t make him some kind of lawyer while I hate the whole all lawyers are evil stereotype it at least fits the movie version of hades personally more not wannabe billy idol

Ok I was waiting till this trilogy of reviews was over to comment on this but why are the majority descendants in this related to a Disney princess in some way shape or form either their kids or relatives or the child of their villain or ally I think only four of them are the kids of characters that aren’t Disney princesses related hell I even settle for the kids of some studio ghibli characters just think outside the box Disney

The sad thing is there some seeds of a great story in this series it’s just buried under characters not acting like their supposed to ideas that are either stupid or contradictory or ideas that have horrible implications point being that if Disney tries an idea like this again they should take the time to iron out their script more then again I’ve lost faith in Disney so what do I know

I’m not saying the design is bad I’m saying it doesn’t make sense for the kind of character hades is in Disney’s Hercules he’s a smooth talking wheeler and dealer in Greek mythology he’s a grumpy neutral king of the underworld either way I don’t get biker maybe if it was ares because I’ve seen that interpretation work but not hades

This is so good to see! I don't understand why these movies exist. And is it just me that's offended by the female characters objectifying Ben by talking about who 'won' him?! And holy monkey . . . The Black Cauldron?! Why don't wee see Taran, Eilonwy, or any of the others?! That's kind of dark for this storyline!

You know what makes The Beast/Adam look even worse in this franchise? Tie-in material does explain why the villains who were dead at end of their movies are suddenly alive. Apparently, Beast didn't think them dying was punishment enough so he had the villains all raised from the dead so he could throw them all into this island gulag.

I agree, the story was set up in a perfect way by having Mal have daddy issues and Audrey turning evil. And of course the deep allegory behind all of it. But instead, its a stupid musical about friendship.

Yes! Finally!!! And thank you for that tribute to Cameron Boyce at the end. It was really meaningful. I was almost to tears again like after the first time I saw that at the end of the movie.
