Dingo Pictures' The Hunchback of Notre Dame Review

Comments

Watching this does make you want to drink just like the Descendants and Swan Princess movies!

Kent Huang

Hey my avatar a pic I took of well my avatar from PShome in case anybody was wandering. Damn I miss that place/game! PS5 still didn't bring it back

Amanda Mathews

Yes please! Do something with Phelous! My 2 or 3(counting Raven) favorite reviewers together! OMG that be best! Plus if you put media hunter and AVGN in that be the deam!

Amanda Mathews

Get this man and Phelous together

Master Farr

I've been thinking about it for awhile for reals and I'm so glad I did! So yay! Hope you get that 1,000 goal because I wanna see that review! I really am a big fan of you and Raven. So glad I join now.

Amanda Mathews

Bobsheaux you is the reviewer of fools

Jack Sullivan

my theory is that Pierre is esmerald's twin brother and he fully knows it Pierre has issues

Jack Sullivan

Now you'll have to do Frolo's voice for Story Time. I'll have to call him "Clod "Frolo to differentiate him from the Disney version

Ben Molulon

Ah, a Wabuu reference. If he does the Wabuu films, he may see that Dingo's Hunchback does not have the worst voice acting to exist.

Suzanne Pollard

Yeah, I assumed they simply did not bother to correct the aspect ratio when transitioning to DVD format.

BB Shockwave

Fun fact, the reason Pierre looks like a woman with a fake mustache is because Dingo Pictures is lazy, and they just reused their Pocahontas character by turning her into a man...

BB Shockwave

Very happy to see you jump on the Dingo-train finally (so to speak!) But wait, you say they are STILL active? I saw Phelous' review of the books based on their movies (which hilariously, have better art than the movies) but even those are several years old and produced by another company. Btw, could be useful for you, there is even a Dingo Pictures Wiki! https://dingopictures.fandom.com/wiki/Dingo_Pictures

A bit late of a comment but I can't say I expected to see Dingo Pictures here, gonna be interesting to see if you cover any other of their movies. Otherwise I don't got much to say other than the following three small 'interesting' facts: The website you showed was actually shut down last year somewhere between the 14th and 17th of November, I don't know which date exactly but I know it's between those dates as I checked it out those two dates according to my browser history. It's probably noticeable but things just cut off near the edges of the screen which is because when you saw it on old televisions that would remain outside the shot and as such they didn't bother fixing it but now that we got larger screens what happens on the edges of the screen is simply visible (in this movie it's the most noticeable when Quasimodo head disappears when going to the top of the screen). And the final more ...'interesting' (for lack of better term) fact is that in the Swedish version of the Wabuu movie, *two* of the characters say the N-word at one point for some reason. As far as I know they didn't do that in any other version of that movie. Which is an odd addition.

Joshup von Hamburg

This movie is dumb.

Brendyn Robertson

This review is Soooooooo stupid

John Farraday

I see the clips at the end with Raven messing up the line and think, "See, Dingo pictures. Write down notes. Having to take multiple takes IS a thing."

Suzanne Pollard

I think that the Dingo Pictures website has been shutdown recently. Also, and I may be wrong here, but I really think the movies were made bad on purpose to exploit a German tax law for the arts, the same sort of thing as Uwe Boll.

Verdant Range

Yes I’ve been waiting for Bob and Raven to review these. They’re my golden standard of video creators.

A.T. M

Holy sh*t I was weak! 😂😂😂 This was a real treat on this depressing day! I did not expect Dingo's version of the Hunchback of Notre Dame! Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame is straight up my favorite animated movie ever and this thing here...as terrible as it is...it's not even the WORST one. 😭😭 Thank you! 😊💙

Sethunya

Never did I think I would see you review a Dingo Pictures movie. Good luck with the rest of them if you review their other movies. You're gonna need it.

Craig T. Crocodile

19:06 well to be fair dingo pictures animals can talk but just not in this movie

Jack Sullivan

Now this is just me, but I can barely stand this level of lack-talent when done for free back in the days of newgrounds. How the HELL does a 'professional' company get away with being this bad?

Curtis Rogahn

Dingo pictures you is the pope of fools

Jack Sullivan

No! Not Dingo Pictures! You’re stepping into very bad territory Bobsheaux. Like I said, you have to be mentally prepared for Dino Pictures because it is so bad!

Grace Starkes

It's about time Bobsheaux finally reviewed Dingo Pictures. I have been obsessed with them since Phelous starting reviewing them and they are the best of the worst. We have no idea who these English voice actors are, but it would be FASCINATING to finally find out who they are. The Hunchback of Notre Dame is surprisingly, and perhaps accidentally, one of the better movies in the Dingo Pictures filmography for being actually pretty faithful to the original Victor Hugo novel, even more so than Disney. It's still crap in a lot of different aspects, but at least it has that.
