Cruella Review - PATRON-EXCLUSIVE! | Descenduary 2

If she doesn't scare you... then you probably have pretty healthy, realistic standards of scariness.

Cruella Review - PATRON-EXCLUSIVE! | Descenduary 2

For real tho, If you want to watch more movies like joker; I'd recommend "Taxi Driver". Joker took a lot of inspiration from said movie

Becuase I'm bored

With this, maleficent and the Boba Fett series, I don't get why Disney keeps trying to make media with villain protagonists... when they're terrified of making their protagonists even a little unlikeabel

Becuase I'm bored

Just about all your Descenduary Videos won't play on Patreon and aren't on Vimeo, at least the app. I was finally able to watch this video by doing it thru The Google Search Engine and Screen Mirroring it on my cell phone

Chucky Cheese

Which ones specifically? We'll look into it.

Raven Fox

When asked how to kill the puppies, Cruella said, "Posion them, drown them, bash them in the head! I don't care how you kill the little beasts, just do it!".

Verdant Range

I don't get the murdering reference. But been ages since I've seen 101 dalmations

I feel ya Bob I actually was interested in the movie at first thinking they actually learned from Maleficent.

Actually, the clip on the TV in that hotel scene of the old movie with Tallulah Bankhead laughing was a nod to the fact that Cruella's appearance and voice in the 1961 Disney film was inspired by her. Well, at least this lousy movie threw us a bone by nodding to some obscure lore.

No lie, I bursted out laughing at the mom falling scene.😂 Like, why did they say “Yes” to that.😂

And yeah, they should have had some bleach accident explain that maybe her hair was like this for a year and then she stuck with it as a fashion style. No way can any genetics explain this hair color.

Yeah, this movie tried to advertise itself as being about a true villain, but... yeah it just never delivers. Cruella is actually not really cruel, she is basically a hero fighting against someone far more evil than her, and she is basically just a Harley Quinn knockoff. Btw, I like your idea of a Sinestro origin movie. Much like Zod, or the alternate universe Superman in Superman TAS, Sinestro really had good intentions and wanted to uphold order and peace on his planet... he just thought free will was something that can be sacrificed for this goal. I like how the old origin stories have him work together with Hal Jordan for quite some time and them being partners and friends, before he realizes how far he has gone from the side of good. Btw, if you are curious, there was a Green Lantern: First Flight animated movie that put a new spin on this story, starting with Sinestro training the newbie Hal until he discovers he is trying to replace the Corps. Not a terribly good movie, but it is the biggest role Sinestro has gotten in, well, anything.

Surprise you didn't lose it over that infamous Dalmatian Push scene... The forced over top manner to make that breed look scary. The lack of proper physics to how that ONE dog just perform "air recovery" The fact that Disney HAD a mother die but went out of their way to spare the dog that killed said mother. The fact they HAD given Baroness THREE dogs when the 3rd COULD have died to show HOW evil she is (training dogs to DIE while KILLING for her is something a real villain would do), and would make that... ending work "better" with just the 2...

A bunch of your videos won't load for some reason

Maybe it's me, but if they went down the unreliable narrator route with Cruella, the discontinuity between the death of her mother and final recollection could have worked. Picture this: We learn the Baroness has been using drugs to make her dogs more aggressive, but it messes up their sense of smell and reasoning. This makes it that when she hides near her, the dogs mistake her mother for her and attack. Years later, when trying to shift the blame of herself that Cruella starts to believe her own lies, making her believe that the Baroness used a dog whistle to deliberately attack her mother instead of it being Cruella's fault. Also: a major missed opportunity was not making it that there were three people trying to stop Cruella and she murders them. First by poisoning, second by drowning, and lastly, the Baroness, who in revenge, she bashes her in the head.

Verdant Range

💯 agreed!!!

Solid review as always, Bob! These Disney live action remakes have just been meh at absolute best

Matt R

Well, good thing I skipped out on this film. Cruella deserved a better movie than this.

Craig T. Crocodile
